Uppdragshuset has been engaged in the intellectual property rights industry in several ways right from the start. Uppdragshuset has, for example, been a member of the board of the Association of IP Professionals in Swedish Industry (SIPF) for many years, and is a member of the board of the Confederation of European Patent Information User Groups (CEPIUG) through its Swedish subsidiary Svenska IP Informations Gruppen (SIPIG). We are active also in the European work in developing a standard for Innovation Management, through our representative in the SIS working group.
We are members of the Association of Intellectual Property Law Firms in Sweden (SEPAF). The association is committed to promoting and upholding ethics and a high degree of professional skill in the industry. The general conditions published by SEPAF provide security of customers, while the ethical committee at the association oversees that the ethical guidelines are followed, and that any agency that contravenes the regulations is held to account.
Uppdragshuset debates and educates
We are actively engaged in issues in the industry, and debate matters relating to intellectual property rights in various media. Uppdragshuset has been invited to speak at several international conferences, including the Information Retrieval Faculty (IRF) symposium in 2010 in Vienna, and the European Patent Office Information Conference (EPOPIC) in Stockholm in 2008.
We promote the active spreading of technical information by the website we have established for this, Nordiska Patent. The site contains all patents from the Nordic countries, and is freely available to everyone.
Uppdragshuset has contributed to several charitable causes, right from the start. We are currently supporting BRIS (Children’s Rights in Society), the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation, and Snilleblixtarna (Flashes of Genius).
